Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer/Technical Lead with specialized experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for our Pune location. This role is crucial for individuals passionate about cloud technologies, data analysis, and financial modeling, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Google Cloud Platform Proficiency: Mandatory experience with GCP, including BigQuery scripting, Cloud SQL, and other GCP components like GCS, Airflow, and Google Cloud SDK.
- SQL and PL/SQL Expertise: Strong background in SQL and PL/SQL scripting is required.
- Linux/Unix Skills: Must have solid Linux/Unix operating systems knowledge.
- DevOps Tools Experience: Experience with DevOps tools and practices is essential.
- Agile Teamwork: Proven experience working within an agile, multidisciplinary DevOps team.
- Python Programming: Strong skills in Python, specifically with Data Flow and BigQuery.
- Data Analysis and Business Analysis: At least 6+ years of experience in finance, data analysis, and business analyses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data Modeling: 5+ years of experience in data modeling, especially complex financial instruments and business concepts, preferably in a private bank setting.
- Data Modeling Tools: Familiarity with tools like Visio, Erwin, or Visual Paradigm.
- Banking/Finance Domain Knowledge: Experience in the banking/finance sector, especially with wealth and private banking domain knowledge.
- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in Confluence, Jira, Visio/Draw for documentation.
- Data Governance: Experience with data governance, quality controls, and data modeling is preferred.
- Agile Methodology: Ability to create user stories in JIRA and facilitate discussions between business and technical teams.
- Educational Requirements: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field is required.
