Job Description

Join our prestigious consulting firm as a Senior Consultant, Associate Manager, or Manager for Statutory Audit in one of our many locations: Bangalore, Gurugram, Jaipur, Chandigarh, or Mumbai. This opportunity is for those who have an exceptional understanding of audit and accounting standards and a track record of carrying out operational, financial, process, and systems audits. The ideal candidate will have a knack for identifying and solving accounting and auditing issues, with a firm focus on improving control systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Comprehensive Audits: Execute operational, financial, process, and systems audits, thoroughly reviewing and appraising the company’s activities, systems, and controls.
  2. Problem-solving: Identify accounting & auditing issues and collaborate with the audit in-charge to resolve arising matters.
  3. Substantive Testing: Carry out substantive testing of appliances in accordance with the audit plan and document all work performed meticulously.
  4. Control Improvements: Pinpoint and implement improvements to control systems and procedures.
  5. Report Presentation: Clearly present audit reports, highlighting key audit recommendations to management.
  6. Accounts Management: Prepare and maintain statutory books of accounts, conduct audit reconciliations of account receivable & payable, and finalize accounts.
  7. Assist Senior Members: Aid seniors in reviewing & checking the financial statements and the preparation of the audit report, management comment letter, and management representation letter.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in handling statutory audit assignments.
  • In-depth knowledge of auditing & accounting standards.
  • Ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments and manage ambiguity.
  • Exceptional verbal and communication skills.
  • Clarity of thought and assertiveness.
  • Effective and creative written expression – logical, readable, and concise.
